Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of achievement of core competencies of Social and Spiritual Attitudes 2013 Curriculum for students of class X - 1 in Air Joman 1 State High School. This research is a classroom action research. The classroom action research design is grouped into four stages, which include: (a) Planning, (b) implementation, (c) observation, and (d) reflection. The subjects of this study were 36 students of class X - 1 at Air Joman 1 Public High School. Research data was collected through observation sheets for learning, spiritual attitude questionnaires and social attitude questionnaires. The data of this study were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques supported by quantitative data analysis. The results of this study indicate that there is an increase in the achievement of core competencies in the 2013 curriculum in terms of the competence of spiritual attitudes and competencies of students' social attitudes. The application of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning to mathematics learning in general can be carried out with the "good" category. There are differences in results before implementing Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning, as well as between learning cycles.
